As it is, why bother making any higher age goods if all we'll get is 10 Wines for our efforts? It doesn't make sense for 10 Wines or 10 Coppers to be equally traded for a higher age good. Now, the market is off kilter and what used to be more of a competitive market is now confined and almost everything in lower ages has to trade for 2x to even get noticed. We used to be able to use higher numbers of lower age goods as an incentive for trading for higher age goods. Where is our compensation for this sudden mid-game change of the rules? The way it is now, those production costs will never be recouped and all our careful planning was for naught. Now, we still pay the higher production costs but can not make fair trades to recoup those costs. Trading is now very sluggish and I believe it is partially due to not being able to offer higher numbers of lower age goods in proportion to the production costs that pretty much set the value of goods per age. I'm a single user player and I spent weeks stockpiling goods to trade upward because the previous market had vitality and trades were more diverse. The new trade ratio limitation is killing the market or at least making it near impossible to utilize lower age goods to acquire later age goods.
